Creating and Connecting your Weavely Account

Before you can start publishing web forms in Figma you'll need to create and connect your Weavely account. This tutorial shows you how!

Welcome to Weavely! Before you can start building web forms and surveys in Figma you'll need to create and connect your Weavely account. Don't worry, it'll take less than a minute and only requires a couple of clicks. We also have a video recording of this tutorial if you prefer:

Step 1: Sign Up for the Weavely Platform

You'll find a big old "Sign Up" button on all Weavely pages (top right). Alternatively you can also visit app.weavely.ai.

To create a Weavely account you can either specify your e-mail address and password or use single sign on with your Figma account.

Step 2: Install the Weavely Figma Plugin

When you first sign up for Weavely you'll notice that your dashboard is empty, safe for a button that urges you to install our Figma plugin. That's because you won't be able to build Weavely forms without the use of Figma (for the moment). To install the plugin simply click the button or navigate to our Figma plugin page.

Once on the Figma community page you can follow the flow you're used to, opening the plugin in either a new design file or an existing one.

Step 3: Connect the Weavely Plugin to Your Account

When you open our Figma plugin for the first time you'll be greeted with the following screen.

Once you press "Connect Account" a new browser window will be opened. If you're still logged in to the platform you'll be greeted with the screen shown below. In case your session expired in the meanwhile you'll be prompted to log in again. This process is almost identical to signing up (i.e. the final part of Step 1).

⚠️ It is important to note that you can also start the account creation process from the Weavely Figma plugin, in which case you'll be prompted to create an account (i.e. Steps 1 and 2) when you press the "Connect Account" button.
