Weavely is designed to convert your Figma designs into functional HTML forms as accurately as possible. However, there are some limitations due to the nature of web standards and legal requirements.
When it comes to fonts, the tool can easily translate fonts that are hosted by Google Fonts because these are freely available for public use. However, custom fonts (i.e., any non-Google fonts) pose a challenge.
While Figma allows you to use any font installed on your computer, the web works differently. For a font to appear on a webpage, it must be hosted somewhere that the webpage can access. This often involves uploading the font file to a server.
However, font files are subject to copyright laws. Hosting and redistributing a font file without the necessary licensing rights is illegal. As a tool provider, we don't have the rights to host or redistribute custom fonts used in your Figma designs.
